Books, Crystals & Adventures: Filling My Soul Up
Hello, my beautiful, lovely yogi friend!
I've been prioritizing nourishing my soul and tuning in to what feels good. I follow my instincts about where I should direct my energies. I've been slowing down and listening.
Books
Let's start here...I've been on a book craze lately. I've been itching to read books about spirituality and self-improvement. I love expanding my mindset and learning new tools so I can step into my power.
I'm a book lover. I was reading ebooks on my phone for a while to redirect my energy into something more fulfilling instead of mindlessly scrolling.
But then...someone handed me a physical book and told me to read a few pages. I realized how much I missed the weight of a book in my hands and the way the papers feel between my fingers.
The other day I was enjoying the Winter Garden Farmer's Market, which always fills me up with positive energy, and wandered off into Ruby and Rust.
Their bookshelf called to me. I started vaguely flipping through the pages and after reading a few sentences, I knew these books had found me for a reason.
Here's what I purchased...
101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Think by Brianna Weist
How to Laugh in Ironic Amusement During Your Existential Crisis by James McCrae
I didn't just stop at these books...During a lovely journey into Winter Park, I popped into one of my favorite crystal shops. Loving Thyself Rocks is beautiful and radiates uplifting energy.
And what was sitting on their bookshelf? Eckhart Tolle's The Power Of Now. Let me tell you, friend, I was so excited to see this book. Why? Because one of my stunning spiritual friends recommended it to me when I told her I was going deeper with exploring my soul and wasn't sure how to handle all this new energy the Universe was throwing at me.
Now you might be thinking, 3 books is a lot. It might take a bit to get through. And you are correct for thinking that. BUT! When I got home, another book was sitting on my doorstep in an Amazon box.
I pre-ordered this book and finally, FINALLY, I get to hold it in my hands and soak up all the juicy goodness it has to offer. My favorite inspiration in the entire world released her book!
You're Already Awesome by Alison Faulkner is here to dazzle the world!!
I can't even tell you how excited I am to read this book. Alison has been a huge part of my mental health journey and self-empowerment. I've talked about her podcast in other blog posts and even on my old personal blogs. Alison is a blessing and you need to do yourself a favor and consume all of her content.
Now I have 4 books waiting to be read...and that doesn't even include the fiction books I'm reading just for funsies. But hey! Fiction and fantasy books still hold incredible lessons for us and can still expand our minds. Don't hate on them just because they're filled with romance and dragons. ;) In case you were wondering, my current YA read is A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas.
Crystals
I'm a crystal lover. I still have soooo much to learn about them. Definitely a beginner.
But shopping in a crystal store is a wonderful experience. (My other favorite store is Winter Garden's Divine Wellness!) I love seeing what crystals I'm drawn to, feeling their energies, and then learning each one's properties.
I'm really vibing with Sunstone right now. It works with your Root, Sacral, and Solar Plexus chakras. It's all about empowerment.
I'm also a die-hard Rose Quartz fan. Channel all that unconditional love! I want my Heart Chakra to glow. I want all of my words, actions, and relationships to be grounded in love.
I've also been really drawn crystals in the shape of tiny mushrooms! Maybe it's because they channel my love of cottage-core? Not sure...but now I have 3 tiny mushrooms. So cute.
Adventure & Exploration
I can tell my soul wants to explore. Moving to Orlando on my own was a huge step for me and now that I'm in an environment where I can make bigger strides to heal, my soul has been nudging me to go out into the world and experience new things.
Obviously, I need to work, but grinding every day is starting to seem less important. I want to take as many little getaways as I can. I want to venture into new shops and bakeries. I want to talk to new people and hear what they have to say. There's so much more to life outside of working and meal prepping. I want to take things at a gentle pace and just flow.
Slowly but surely, I'm going to explore more. I created a huge list of places I'm going to visit just around Orlando! Even if I do 1 adventure a week, I think that's a great step in my journey.
Words & Intentions
Intention setting is so important. Without it, we're allowing our energy to move around without direction and it could lower our vibration.
Here are the words that I've resonated with lately.
Expansive - I want my energy to be expansive. I know I need to turn inward to do this. When I feel like I'm chasing instead of attracting, I know I need to take a step back and do some inner work so I can expand my soul. I want to take up space and fill it with beautiful, sparkly, light energy.
Radiant - I want to glow. I want people to gravitate towards me and feel loved and feed off of my glow. I want to channel the sun's bright, bold energy.
Conclusion
I could write for hours about my soul-searching discoveries. And to think, I still have hours upon hours more of searching to do. It's a glorious, ongoing journey. Stay tuned for more. :)
We are all beings of love and light. My beautiful friend, tap into that energy. You are exactly what the world needs. You are radiant and expansive and bold and talented and you are exactly where you need to be.
Take a deep breath. Listen to what your heart is telling you. Follow what feels good. Continue to do things that nourish your soul. Keep growing. You are more incredible than you know. Allow yourself to lean into that power.
You are an unstoppable being that's filled with starlight and magic. Listen to the Universe. Trust energy, it never lies.
You, my love, are powerful. I need you to believe it.
The light from within me sees and honors the light within you,
